While we’re still doubting about what new coat to invest in this year, the fashion industry already dictates what to wear next season. And like no other, next season is a season of hope and desire. Of times in which we’re freed of being bound at home. A season of spending time with loved ones, partying till dawn and endless summer nights at outside dinner parties. When developing Louis Vuitton’s cruise 2021 collection, Nicolas Ghesquière felt inspired by time; the past, the present and – above all – the endless possibilities for the future.

I looked somewhere that has been calling out to me for a long
time, somewhere I hadn’t taken the time to go back to. To
uncover one inspiration after another. This is an exploration
of my creative identity
,” stated Nicolas Ghesquière. His latest collection takes the watcher and wearer on a very personal journey. A stationary journey, as he prefers to call it. Game On

Assert that fashion is a game. Game On, or creative freedom playing with canvas, mingling lines between the Monogram flowers and four suits of a card deck. In this fantasy of illusion, clubs bloom, spades pierce, diamonds sparkle, and the almighty heart reigns.

With this vision, the collection keeps the trunk-making heritage more alive than ever. It’s the symbolism of a deck of cards, the traveller’s loyal companion, entertainment cultivating togetherness. Game On is a lighthearted adventure in which all of the House’s spheres of expertise play a role, driven by passionate craftsmanship. Check out our favorite looks below.
