Founded in 2021, Francon forms a collaboration between creative director May and architect Kees Kaan. During her career at – among others – Saint Laurent, May Kaan discovered how the fashion industry has shifted away from our daily lives. It’s an industry that’s ripe for transformation. Kees Kaan’s profession and view became a surprising source of inspiration for doing things differently.
Five foundational lines
Being in a metropolitan city feels different from being in the countryside. When standing in a skyscraper in New York City, we behave differently than we would in a Florentine palazzo. These different perceptions are key to Kaan’s designs. Therefore, the brand is built around five foundational lines: The Lake House, Tower, Cabin, Palazzo and Chalet – each of which is defined by the lifestyle of the archetype. Together, Francon’s items become a collection of permanence that will stand the test of time.
