Fashion Film Festival Milano 2019
Founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, the Fashion Film Festival Milano was composed of five days of creative energy from both emerging and established talents. As the Educational Partner of festival, Istituto Marangoni invited alumni to express their visions on the usage of a film as an expression of choice linked to the fashion world.
The festival’s 6th edition aimed to spread this talent and energy, together with an inclusive spirit. In today’s fashion world, filmmakers are used to express a brands values, vision and purpose.
To create and spread this energy, evoke inclusivity and to reach the bigger public with their message, the organization of Fashion Film Festival Milano has written the following fashion manifest:
Revolution’s begun So, join me today and ask yourself then
am I really the change or the usual old stuff, over and over again?
Am I really the butterfly, the spirit, the freedom at most
Or do I buy shitty stuff for my next IG post?
‘Cause fashion is art
We’ve said it before
It’s our new tool
To pound at the doors of managers, stylists, owners and CEOs
To tell them we’re ready
There’s no turning back
We’ll meet you on track.
The fashion manifest points toward the current state of the fashion industry, where protests during Fashion Week have become the new norm. The Fashion Film Festival opens doors to this topic in an original way, in order to draw attention from those who can make a difference.
