September in Milan hits different when you know what’s coming. This year, the city’s fashion week will take place from September 23rd through the 29th, delivering what might become the most watched seven days of Italian fashion. MILAN FASHION WEEK REVEALS SPRING/SUMMER 2026 SCHEDULE
The raw numbers are solid: 55 physical shows plus four digital presentations. But honestly, that’s not what everyone is talking about. It’s the elephant-sized question marks hanging over some of Milan’s biggest names. When creative directors shuffle around like they’re playing musical chairs, you know there’s something to keep an eye on. Some debuts to look out for? Demna at Gucci, who recently announced his debut will take place during this MFW Spring/Summer 2026. Another one to watch: Louise Trotter’s debut at Bottega Veneta. Rightfully highly anticipated, if you ask us. The same holds for Dario Vitale’s debut at Versace and Simone Bellotti’s at Jil Sander.
Ultimately, the question isn’t whether these collections will be good (they’re Milan, of course, so they’ll deliver). Whether they’ll give us clues about where luxury fashion is headed. If the rumors about backstage shake-ups are half true, the week will become a preview of the next chapter of MFW.
