LONDON FASHION WEEK SPRING/SUMMER 2025
London Fashion Week has always been a platform for iconic fashion houses and emerging talent. This year, celebrating the fashion week’s 40th birthday is no exception, with an exciting blend of seasoned designers and fresh faces set to grace the runway.
DESIGNERS TO WATCH AT LFW
London Fashion Week is known to be a great starting point for upcoming talents and young designers. To fuel Britain’s starting designers, the British Fashion Council has launched BFC NEWGEN, which supports the best emerging fashion design talent through funding for shows and business mentoring. On the NEWGEN schedule, there are a couple of designers to watch. Among the newbies of the NEWGEN program are YAKU, Charlie Constantinou, JOHANNA PARV, Vitto, LUEDER (a name you might know from Berlin Fashion Week), Pauline Dujancourt, and Steve O Smith.
STRONG LINE-UP
Besides shedding light on upcoming design talents, the London Fashion Week schedule for Spring/Summer 2025 is also packed with reclaimed houses. Under the helm of Loewe’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson, JW Anderson continues to push the boundaries of fashion with his thought-provoking designs. He’s one of the few designers developing collections with a strong concept. Known for his unique blend of masculinity and femininity, Anderson’s collections continue to be London Fashion Week’s main highlights. The same holds for Simone Rocha, who is celebrated for her romantic and ethereal designs. Rocha’s work often features intricate embroidery, delicate lace, and voluminous silhouettes. Where Simone Rocha doesn’t shy away from florals, Erdem Moralıoğlu’s namesake label is synonymous with floral prints, rich fabrics, and exquisite craftsmanship. His collections are a favorite among fashion editors and celebrities alike.
On the other end of the spectrum, David Koma is known for his sleek, sculptural designs and glamorous eveningwear. He consistently delivers collections that exude confidence and sophistication. His spring/summer 2025 collection is expected to feature bold, statement-making pieces. The same is expected of Burberry, one of the most iconic British fashion houses. Whether you like Burberry under the helm of Daniel Lee or not, Burberry always draws a significant crowd.
