Breaking: Chloé announces new Creative Director

We barely had the time to process the departure of Natacha Ramsay-Levi at the iconic Chloé, we were bombarded with a surprising successor. The queen of innovative, timeless and high quality pieces with a love for pure craftsmanship – we’re talking about Gabriela Hearst – will be Chloé’s new Creative Director from today on.

New Creative Director Chloé

It is with great pleasure that I welcome Gabriela Hearst at our Maison. I have always admired her vibrant creative energy and exquisite sense of quality and craft. Her powerful vision of more responsible fashion truly embodies the values and sense of commitment of today’s Chloé women. Gabriela is a forward-thinking woman and her creative leadership will be a positive force in further evolving and expanding our founder’s original vision of meaningful and powerful femininity. Together, we share the conviction that we all have a responsibility to actively participate in the shaping of a sustainable future and look forward to jointly pushing Chloé to new heights” said CEO, Riccardo Bellini about Hearst’s appointment.

Gabriela Hearst will succeed Natacha Ramsay-Levi, who has worked for the label for over four years. Within these years she has done some great things, of which designing Ellie Goulding’s wedding dress is an absolute highlight. Hearst can count on some famous clientele as well; Angelina Jolie and Meghan Markle are among her famous fans.

About Gabriela Hearst

Born in Uruguay, Gabriela Hearst honored her family’s heritage through
the launch of her eponymous label in Fall 2015 after taking over the
operations of her father’s ranch in Uruguay. She wanted to create a
brand that reflects a slower pace and process: where things are made
with care and detail, where tradition is more important than trend,
where there is a purpose to every piece. Gabriela’s commitment is to make
a strong and modern collection without compromising her ethics and
key values, taking into consideration where materials come from and
who is making them: luxury with a conscience.

Hearst is more than thrilled about her new appointment at Chloé: “I am grateful for an opportunity at such a beloved brand as Chloé. I am thankful to Natacha Ramsay-Levi and all the other extraordinary designers that have come before her and helped build on the purposeful vision of Gaby Aghion. I am excited for the opportunity to work under the leadership of Riccardo Bellini and support him in his commitment to create a business that is socially conscious and in balance with our environment. I am also humbled to be able to work with the Chloé team to help execute this beautiful vision in creative and accountable ways.”

Hearst will continue as Creative Director at her eponymous label as well. Her first collection for Chloé will launch March 2021. We can’t suppress out excitement.
